Structure Use Occupancy Type Square Footage

Any equipment and/or appurtenances not shown on this approved site plan (i.e. mechanical equipment, retaining walls, decks, etc.) are not approved. Revisions to plans must be submitted to DCD for approval prior to installation.
Fuel tank >125 gallons must be setback at least 10 feet from all property lines and structures.
All propane tanks and trenching for propane lines must be setback five (5) feet from all on-site sewage system (OSS) components.
Address must be posted and visible from the street.
Underground exterior fuel line must be sleeved and a trace wire installed. Do not cover until inspected.
Pressure test of interior and exterior fuel lines must be witnessed by inspector.
The Inadvertent Discovery Plan (IDP) shall be kept on the job site and followed if any cultural material (e.g., bones, shell, antler, horn, or stone tools) and/or human remains are found.
Approved plans shall not be changed, modified or altered without authorization from the Department of Community Development (DCD). Revisions shall be submitted and approved by DCD prior to inspection.
Electrical Work. If electrical work is proposed, a separate electrical permit is required. You can contact L&I at 360-416-3000 for information on how to obtain an electrical permit. Electrical systems must be inspected by L&I prior to requesting a framing inspection and final approval granted by L&I prior to requesting a final building inspection from DCD.
Reinspection fee: All approved construction plans, the approved site plan, the printed building permit, and the permit inspction placard are required to be on-site for inspection purposes, and work to be inspected shall be complete and ready for inpsection. If an inspection is called for and palns are not available on site, or the work is not ready for inspection, or if previously identified corrections have not been made, approval will not be granted. In addition, a re-inspection fee will be charged and must be collected by DCD prior to any further inspections being performed or approvals granted.
Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work authorized by such permit is commenced within 180 days after its issuance or if the work authorized on the site by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the work is commenced. The building official is authorized to grant, in writing, extension of time, for a period of one 180 days. The extension shall be requested in writing and justifiable cause demonstrated.
Building permits must be renewed annually until final inspection and occupancy has been granted.
Pressure test of interior and exterior water supply lines must be witnessed by inspector.
Any assistance of any person(s) to provide labor, materials and/or assistance on any aspect(s) of the construction, alteration or repair authorized by the building permit, the aggregate compensation for which equals or exceeds $500 shall be conducted by contractor(s) registered and currently licensed under the laws of the State of Washington.
Applicant shall phone 1-800-424-5555 (24 hour Utility Location Center) to Locate Utilities prior to excavation. San Juan County will not accept any responsibility on behalf of applicants failing to comply with the requirement to contact the appropriate utility companies. Any resultant action for failure to perform, inlcuding action necessary to make corrections or prevent liability to the county will be the sole responsibility of the owner, permit applicant, or authorized agent as noted herein.
