New to online permitting?
Apply for and access permits using the buttons above.
San Juan County has adopted the 2018 editions of the Building codes/Energy codes as of Feb 1st. 2021. Be sure to include the newest version of the form with your permit applications.
The online permit center will allow you to apply for permits, pay fees, request inspections, and view the status of Public Works and Community Development permits. Applications for burn permits, vacation rental certifications, and stand-alone mechanical and plumbing (without any land disturbance) are available online. Currently no paper submittals allowed at this time due to COVID 19, please use thie portal to apply online.
To purchase a Burn Permit during burn season or submit a Vacation Rental Certificate of Compliance, you must first sign up for an account. No access code is required. Once you have verified your account through a link sent to your e-mail (check junk mail) you must log off and log back in again. If you already have a permit in the system and don't have your access code, email email@example.com with your permit number and/or project address to get your portal access code.
On-line inspection scheduling can be accessed by logging in to your account, clicking on "Applications", then "My Applications", then select the permit you wish to schedule for and scroll to the inspection section to select and request your inspection. The daily schedule will be posted by 9:00 am. Scroll down to "Other services" and click on "Inspection Schedule"
